Whip out your most dazzling dresses, slip on your most elegant jewels, and rouge up those adorable cheeks, lovelies, because there’s a party going on in Rosewood on Pretty Little Liars Season 2 Episode 22 — and you’re all invited! Here’s the official synopsis for Pretty Little Liars Season 2 episode 22:

Burbank, CA (Feb. 1, 2012) – Rosewood’s Father-Daughter Dance brings great tension as relationships are strained in “Father Knows Best,” an all new episode of ABC Family’s hit original series “Pretty Little Liars,” airing Monday, February 20th (8:00 – 9:00 PM ET/PT).

One father has a guilty conscience, one has a daughter he doesn’t trust, one is hiding a secret from his daughter and the other father is MIA – all-in-all it is not the ideal time for Rosewood’s annual Father-Daughter Dance. With fathers looking to make amends and daughters trying to keep the peace, the annual dance looks to be anything but fun.

Meanwhile, Ashley continues her hunt to find answers about what is going on with Hanna with help from a surprising source.

A LOOK BACK AT PLL EPISODE 2.12: To be honest, there was no concrete reason as to what Jason was doing there so late at night (suspiciously just as the Liars were brought into custody) but do recall that his visit was anything but peaceful. Why? Because the instant Jason entered the police station, Peter Hastings (Spencer’s dad) caused quite the commotion by begging him to leave. Jason refused to though claiming that his sister (Rosewood High’s very own queen bee Alison) would have wanted him there and asking Mr. Hastings if his wife knew about their little secret. Mr. Hastings then got very nervous, replied no and made a very mysterious comment, namely that he has done everything possible to protect Jason — to which Jason argues that the reason he bought his own house back and dug up the yard at night was because Alison was a the biggest secret collector in the whole wide universe as well as the strictest enforcer of the “truth.” Basically, Jason is hiding something and Peter Hastings knows exactly what it is! Let’s just hope we find out by the end of Pretty Little Liars season 2 because the suspense is killing us!

Emily Fields hasn’t had the best of luck when it comes to finding love in Rosewood. First, she broke up with her long-term boyfriend Ben on Pretty Little Liars Season 1. Then, she fell for Maya St. Germain (the free-spirited girl who moved into Alison DiLaurentis’ house) only to have to say goodbye when Maya was shipped off to juvie camp. Next came Paige—the initially psycho, homophobic teammate who shocked viewers when she revealed she had feelings for Em (via a late-night smooch). Finally, there was beautiful, blond bombshell Samara (played by Vampire Diaries star Claire Holt). Their relationship was chugging along splendidly—that is, until A came and caused a massive wreck by forcing Emily to flirt with one of Samara’s best friends!

Fortunately for kind, compassionate Emily, it looks like there may be a happily-ever-after (at least a few weeks worth) for her after all! In “A Kiss Before Lying” she and Maya grow closer than ever before and share an intimate, romantic evening together. (They even seal the deal with a sweet kiss!)
